Urgent information about tea.

Lasagna - My homework for this week's comedy class is to write six sketches. My teacher is very quick to point out that they don't have to be funny. They just have to be. Still, though, six of them in a week is quite a lot for me, especially when there's so much TV to watch.

I keep throwing around all these ideas. Spoofs of commercials. Easy opportunites to make fun of friends who need to be made fun of. TV Court shows, superheroes, video games. The fact that believe it or now, sporks just aren't funny. It's tough. I'm nervous, and I'm not sure I'll be able to get everything done. I'm not sure I'm good enough for this.

So, here's a recipe. The other day, after the moussaka incident, i realized that I had a bunch of ricotta sitting around the house. The second you pull the wrapper off that stuff, it starts ticking. I can't tell you how often I've used what I needed, only to come back with nothing but a spoon a couple of days later, knowing that if I had to eat that stuff like it was ice cream today, or pay the dire, dire consequences of my inaction tomorrow. It's a culinary time bomb in dairy, that's for sure.

The trouble was I was feelign too lazy to make lasagna, "it's just going to fall apart anyway," i told Tanja. I'm not one of those people who can just slice straight down through a whole lasagna like the do on the TV, taking a perfect forkfull of the stuff while the rest doesn't even know I was there. So, I decided to cut out the middle man.

Unbaked Lasagna, Serves 4 or so.
  • 1 pound uncooked lasagna noodles.
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese.
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese.
  • 1/4 cup grated parmasan or romano cheese.
  • At leat two cups pasta sauce. Add more for taste, as needed.
  1. Bring four quarts or so of water to a boil.
  2. Add lasagna, cook for 8 minutes, until done.
  3. Drain lasagna well, then return to pot.
  4. Add sauce, and all cheese, stir until mixed well.
  5. Serve and eat immediately or thereabouts.
Yeah, the cheese isn't crunchy, but you get the noodles, you get the cheese, you get to watch TV. What else is there?
