You're right. I haven't been writing anyhing lately. I've been neglecting you. Neglecting my drooling public. I'd like to go with some sort of hokey excuse. I've been really busy. It's been raining. My pants are on fire.

The truth is, I haven't really been feeling inspired to write anything at all lately. So, all you get for now is me telling you I'm still alive.

Oh, and there's more keychain camera photos up, including the one atop this post. You can see them, for free, here (new window). It's crazy, but the fun and excitement, and instant gratification of this digital camera has me thinking it might be time...

Have you seen this new ground-level photography thing at maps.a9.com (new window)? It's only in a few cities so far, and what you do is enter an address, and it shows you photos of that address. I have to say it's kind of cool, but there's somethign really scary, really uncomfortable, big brothery about it, and as Jim (new window) mentioned, there's something really kind of bad about the fact that in some way, be it through ad revenue or subscriptions or what, that amazon is going to make money off of photos of people and things they have no right to make money off of.

Still, though, it's really impressive how many photos they've gotten. I wonder how they did it. My current guess is it's a bunch of frames from a low-res digital camera shooting out the window of a passing car, but I'm not sure.
