Skin and Blood
Being at home when I'm alone.

Been kind of a painful week around here on top of the usual work nonsense and the general invisibility I've taken on in the shadow of my wife's expanding gut. It's almost over, but while I waited for a document to print a few minutes ago, I looked down at my left hand and noticed that I have a cut, something that drew blood, on every finger. A paper cut, a splinter, a burn, two knife accidents, a scrape on the bed frame. There's been blood, there's been flaps of skin, but no Neosporin, no Band Aids. Clearly, though my right hand has some anger and jealousy problems it needs to work out. These'll heal, but it's certainly an odd twist.
Then there's the injuries I'm not talking about.
