You're watching "Happy Days".
Brooklyn, New York - September 2007
In Owls Head Park, Bay Ridge. Taken with an unmodified Polaroid SX-70 Sonar on 600 film. I just turned the light-dark selector all the way to dark.

Another obnoxious PhD holder.
Try throwing him a curveball.
"Dead" isn't really accurate.
Hey Jackson Browne watch out.
Sure if you were a hot chick.
I dub thee Sir Elgin McQueer.
Col. Potter to the Lido Deck.
Our only choice is to sautee.
Some say I'm not dumb at all.
So you think you know hockey.
The grand king of drag bunts.
Steven your sarcasm is trite.
I was replaced by Rudy Sarzo.
I don't need your free Monet.
Enough hair spray for Poison.
She makes a sort of quacking.
Born in Cuba raised in Maine.
I don't know what valence is.
No can do without Daryl's OK.
Greetings from Downtown Kiev.
I collect empty plastic bags.
During Satan's pre-evil days.
He just isn't into you Linda.
I got a Macintosh bomb error.
Yanks combine on nine-hitter.
I used to be daft like Al is.
A farewell to Mr. Tom Poston.
Yet you think iPods are cool.
I shouldn't be this terrific.
This is Emeril's last hurrah.
My villain laugh: Bwuhahahah.

The correct answer is: Belen.

A brief history of diet cola.
Brooklyn, New York - April 2007
That's some intense grain there. That's what happens when you develop expired Fuji Superia 200 color film as black and white in Difine. Shot with a Nikon F and it's beat up 50 mm f/1.4 lens with a loose inner element.
I like this one. The grain makes it look old, maybe taken from a newspaper, even thuough I just shot it last week.

Everyone's mad at Miss China.
Brooklyn, New York - April 2007
I was wrong. Getting hit in the head with a rubber duck over and over isn't such a bad way to wake up.

Beware of Greeks bearing ham.
Brooklyn, New York - March 2007
The block of 77th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues in Brooklyn is one of my favorite in this neighborhood. For most of the block, the houses are the same, triangular, punctuated by a couple of trees and light posts.
Correction: While everything I said about that block of 77th street is true, I'm a bit of a blockhead. That photo was taken on 78th street between 3rd and 4th Avenues.
I took this with the Nikon F on expired Fuji Superia 200.

They said the coat is orange.
Brooklyn, New York - March 2007
For years, since I started to really get into photography, I've always wanted to shoot a classic Nikon SLR. Any would do, but I wanted to be an old, manual everything one, no tricks, just me, the camera, and a little Sunny 16. Just once, just one roll.
Last fall, a while before I quit my job I tried to buy a bunch of photo and darkroom gear from a woman I came across on Craig's List. It never worked out, and I forgot about her and the stuff. Then, last month, she emailed me out of the blue and told me I could have the stuff free if I came to her place and got it.
So, here we are. Not only did get to shoot a Nikon, but I now own a Nikkormat EL from the early '70s, and the camera this photo came from, the classic Nikon of classic Nikons, a Nikon F, probably from 1960-something. It's weighs about 40 pounds, looks like it went head-on with a train, the lenses are a bit iffy, and it has no light meter. I love the way the earth moves when you push that cold metal button.
